About the client
The client is a prominent international provider of tools and related solutions, including storage, industrial applications and security. It is known for a wide range of power tools, hand tools and accessories, and serves trade professionals and home improvement enthusiasts. It has a long history of innovation and quality.
The challenge
The client wanted to generate quality leads in several APAC markets within a set timeline and to build awareness of its brands. It had more than one brand under one umbrella, each aimed at a different type of customer, so one campaign would not work for all of them.
What we did
We ran separate campaigns, and created different target audiences, for each brand in the portfolio.
- Facebook lead ads. Lead forms collected sign-ups for each brand’s newsletter.
- Contest giveaways. Each market ran giveaways with different prizes to encourage sign-ups.
- Audience segments. Audiences for each brand were based on consumer behaviour and interests, so that professionals and home users each saw relevant ads.
- Weekly audience adjustment. We reviewed and adjusted the target audience every week.
- Localised copy. Ad copy was written in each target country’s language to feel closer to local users.
- Fresh creative. We kept testing and refreshing ads, using different visuals and media formats, to keep relevance scores above average.
- Bid caps. We capped bids on every campaign to control cost per lead, while keeping exposure to the target audience and the number of leads.
Results
Over two months:
- leads rose 20% month on month;
- the campaign delivered 40% more leads than the client’s own objective.
Results in context
Both figures cover the two-month campaign across several APAC markets. The 20% is growth in leads from one month to the next. The 40% compares total leads with the objective the client set at the start, so it measures performance against a target, not against an earlier campaign.
Both matter because the client wanted quality leads in several markets within a set timeline, with more than one brand to promote. Separate campaigns and audiences for each brand, local-language copy and weekly audience adjustments were all aimed at keeping leads growing without letting cost per lead rise.
The source does not give the lead numbers behind either percentage, or the target itself, so we report the percentages as recorded.
Key takeaways
- One brand, one audience: separate campaigns stop brands from competing for the same impressions.
- Local language matters. Translated or localised copy improves relevance and response.
- Controlling cost per lead with bid caps, plus regular creative refreshes, keeps both cost and reach on target.
